Salem govt hospital security guard arrested for sexually harassing female patient

SALEM: A security guard at Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital was arrested for sexually harassing a female patient on Friday night.According to the outpost police at the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital, a 22-year-old woman was admitted to the psychiatric ward in the hospital on Friday. Vadivel, 45, a private contract security guard who was on duty in the ward, allegedly sexually harassed the woman. The woman suffered minor injuries in the incident.The woman’s relatives caught the guard and handed him over to the outpost police.The police registered case against Vadivel. He was remanded in judicial custody on Saturday.
